Public BBQ

Located just out of town behind the football oval, this peaceful reserve sits alongside a flowing creek with great views of paddocks and hills. The spacious camp kitchen offers plenty of cooking utensils including toasters and kettles, while the clean amenities block provides toilets and washing facilities. Easy access for larger caravans with riverside unpowered sites available. Friendly staff provide excellent service, and the location is perfectly positioned just 15 minutes walk to town centre. The reserve offers a perfect mix of natural beauty and practical facilities, with occasional koala visits adding to the charm. Family-friendly with BBQ areas and well-maintained grounds.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Colac Otway council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Colac Otway council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
